ZEBEDEE is a soft endosperm, nabim Group 3 winter wheat with a very high yield potential. It has excellent resistance to yellow rust and is relatively early to mature. Zebedee has a high Hagberg Falling Number and is suitable for the biscuit, distilling, feed and export markets. Grain quality characteristics are similar to Claire and Robigus; Zebedee may be safely stored with these varieties.
Zebedee has shown excellent yield potential in fungicide treated and untreated trials.
Zebedee has performed well in all areas of the UK, producing exceptionally high yields in the HGCA East region.
Zebedee is a short strawed variety, similar to Consort in height. It's lodging resistance both with and without a PGR treatment is comparable with Claire. Zebedee is earlier to ripen than Robigus. |
