Valene: A potentially high yielding spring oat variety with a similar yield to Ascot when treated and about 6% better without. Valene has short straw and very good mildew resistance.
Olympic: A spring oat variety with a very high yield potential, similar to Ascot with a fungicide treatment and 4% above without. Olympic is shorter than Firth with good lodging resistance and similar disease resistance.
Both varieties are Recommended List candidates for 2010 and were bred by Landbouwbureau Wiersum, in the Netherlands.
