CASSATA MALTING BARLEY MOVES TO FULL IBD APPROVAL FOR BREWING


Cassata now Fully Approved by IBD




Nickerson product manager Lee Robinson celebrates the promotion of Cassata winter malting barley to full approval for brewing use by the IBD (Institute of Brewing and Distilling).

"Cassata joins Pearl and Flagon as one of three fully approved winter varieties for brewing.  It offers growers a treated yield 2% above Pearl, good lodging resistance, good resistance to Rhynchosporium – and the important plus of resistance to the common strains of barley mosaic virus,” commented Mr Robinson.
